Jalapeño Cheddar Chive Blossom Cream Scones

1. Preheat oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
3. Cut cold butter into the flour mixture until crumbly with some pea-sized butter pieces remaining.
4. Stir in cheddar, jalapeño, chive blossoms, and chives.
5. Whisk together egg, cream, and vinegar/lemon juice. Add to dry ingredients and gently mix until a shaggy dough forms.
6. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and pat into a 1-inch thick circle and cut into 8 wedges or use a biscuit cutter for round scones.
7. Brush tops with cream and add extra cheddar, jalapeño slices, flaky salt, and blossoms if desired.
8. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
